Mr. Maxwell has over 32 years of investment banking and commercial lending experience in the Energy, Maritime, and Industrials sectors. Mr. Maxwell rejoined Johnson Rice in February 2026 after having spent the previous five years as President of Tusk Capital Advisors. Mr. Maxwell had previously worked in the Johnson Rice Corporate Finance Group from 2009 to 2021. Prior to Johnson Rice, Mr. Maxwell was Head of Offshore & Oilfield Service for Fortis Bank in New York, and he also held previous banking roles with Calyon/Credit Lyonnaise, Prudential Securities, AmSouth, and First NBC. Mr. Maxwell received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama.
Mr. Cummings has over 22 years of experience in the Energy industry originating, structuring, executing, and advising on investment banking and financing transactions for public and private companies throughout various stages of their lifecycle. Mr. Cummings' multi-faceted experience includes roles in investment banking, equity research and commercial lending. Prior to joining Johnson Rice in 2004, Mr. Cummings worked as a corporate lender with J.P. Morgan and Whitney National Bank. Mr. Cummings graduated from Loyola University with a double major in Finance and Business Management and received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans.
